PORTRAIT MASTER AWARDS AND OTHER
The Portrait Masters Awards and Accreditation program was created and founded in 2017 by Sue Bryce, to allow photographers from around the world to submit their work to be judged by a panel of international expert judges. It recognizes the highest professional standard through judging, awards, and the accumulation of points to three levels of accreditation. The Portrait Master This accreditation program, explicitly for portrait photographers of all genres, is a recognition of ‘high professional standard’, not something that awards merit only. Portrait Masters accredited photographers can ensure clients they are working with the true professionals of the industry. Points accumulate each round and never expire.
There are 9 judging criterias: Expression and Connection, Styling, Composition, Posing, Lighting, Post-Production (editing), Focus, Overall Technique and Presentation, and Storytelling
I have submitted 8 images of my work for the first time in 2018 and was awarded with a Bronze award for 5 of them the other 3 were only 1 point off from getting the Bronze as well. Then I skipped a year, but in 2019 for the year of 2020 I submitted 31 images and all of those received Bronze awards as well. I was pleasantly surprised that all of my images received and award, but it only confirmed what I have already knew, that my hard work, attention to detail, passion for photography and providing my clients with the best of my abilities is paying off.
I am only 7 point out to reach Association level and to be able to join the ranks of 90 photographers world-wide who have achieved Associate Photographer Level. I planned on submitting images in summer of 2020, as this event is bi-annually, however with the Covid-19 pandemic, I did not get the chance. I am hoping, that I will get to submit more images for the new 2021.
BRONZE MERIT - Bronze images have a high professional standard of technique and communication
