Martina Valekova Photography - Maternity Session - Adriana
August 2020
5 months into Pandemic, my long term client contacted me as she was expecting their second baby. Adriana was so excited of welcoming her new baby to the world and despite the pandemic ruling the world, she wanted to celebrate it by creating some memories she could cherish later. She told me she was expecting a little boy, but she still wanted to dress in girly colors. As I do offer my clients a selection of clothes for maternity and even some children clothing, we chose darker pink and a toffee color for her. On the day of her session the weather, Chicago of course, did not want to cooperate and it showed there was a thunderstorm coming just in time for their session. She was due any day, so we did not want to reschedule it. She looked stunning though, and as we did not have time to run out to a park, there was an empty lot with one tree in front of my house, I decided to quickly pose them there, and try to get some photos before it starts to rain. I think it was my fastest session ever. Sometimes those these sessions are best and the photos are a proof of that. A week later, she gave birth to their new son.
